Conditions we treat

Chiropractic care can help with much more than just “neck and back pain”.  Many individuals find themselves initially seeking out chiropractic care due to some kind of pain or discomfort. The benefits of chiropractic care can help with many different conditions and symptoms of the body, as well.

How Chiropractic care helps

Chiropractic care aims to restore spinal function, reducing stress on the nervous system. Common benefits from care include decreased pain, tension, and improved range of motion in the area. Each treatment builds on the last and continues to establish healthy motion of the spine and the surrounding soft tissue, leading to lasting relief and wellness.

Neck pain

Neck pain is one of the most common conditions why an individual may be seeking out chiropractic care. Whether from repetitive movements at work, sitting for extended periods of time staring at a computer,  or following a car accident, it is experienced by millions of individuals on a daily basis. Neck pain can come in different forms and it can also change over time as the condition progresses. It often starts as some kind of mild stiffness, which then leads to local soreness or achy type pains in the area. Further progression of the condition can lead to more sharp or stabbing pains, and in extreme cases cause numbness or radiating pains into the arms and hands. Pain can be acute, meaning it comes on quickly and suddenly, or chronic which can be felt on a daily basis for many years.

Low Back Pain

Low back pain is one of the leading causes of workers comp claims worldwide. It can be a huge burden both in our personal lives and on the health care system due to the time lost at work and the cost associated. If you have ever said something like “ I threw my back out”, you very likely fall into this category. Poor postural habits while sitting is one of the most common and easiest ways to slowly damage your back over time. A large portion of the work force sits for extended periods of time either while at their computer or driving a vehicle. After a certain amount of damage has been done to the back, something as simple as bending over to tie your shoe can cause injury. Other workers may have a more physical job, such as carpentry or construction, which places a large amount of repetitive strain on the body. Again, slowly over time the healthy tissue becomes damaged and pain will set in. The longer and more regular the damage occurs, the worse the symptoms will be.
